Margaret Manning is CEO of Reading Room, a global Top Ten Digital Agency (Interactive Media Awards) and the UK’s Third Top Digital Agency (Design Week Top 100). Having established Reading Room in the humble beginnings of a North London flat in 1996 with a staff of just two, her company now employs over 150 staff, with offices in London, Manchester, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and Singapore. Margaret has grown the Singapore office of Reading Room to 12 people within 5 months of opening. Following being voted Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2008 Fast Growth Business Awards, Margaret had her entrepreneurial success recognised again at last year’s International Stevies Women in Business Awards in New York, picking up the Best Entrepreneur in EMEA award. Margaret is one of very few female CEOs in the largely male-dominated digital industry, and knows exactly what it takes to create and build a global, successful and, ultimately happy business. A well-respected figure in new media, Margaret sits on several boards and committees, including IPA’s Digital Media Committee and The Media Society, and is a 2008 Woman of Achievement Ambassador for the Lloyds TSB Inspirational Women Association.
