Lindsay Stewart is the founding CEO of Stringr— a mobile and web-enabled platform that allows its customers to source custom footage – fast. Stringr has the only nationwide network of videographers in the United States: more than 23,000 dispersed in 200 media markets.
While a producer at ABC News, Lindsay experienced a need to get more rights-cleared footage—faster. She thought there had to be a better way, as her options at the time were limited to hiring freelance crews, often far from the scene, or mine social media for clips, often poorly shot and unsuitable for broadcast. Since its launch in 2013, Stringr has engaged thousands of videographers across the US and plans to expand across Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East in the near future.
Lindsay has 12 years of experience as a television news producer at ABC, CBS, Bloomberg and Fox where she ran political coverage for the network in the western part of the United States. She earned her BS at UC Berkeley, an MBA at The Wharton School of Business and was recently awarded the winner at the 2016 NAA Accelerator Pitch Program.
Lindsay currently participates in conferences around the globe including the GENSummit and The AAPC Conference.
